Customer Review #1:
I read it in one sitting.
This is a fantastic book! As I said, I read it in one sitting, I was glued to each page. This is the first book I read by Iles, and I plan to get the rest of his books. Iles is a fantastic author. He has the ability to keep the reader hooked to the very last page. He writing style is one of many plot twists and outsandting characters that you want to read about, and care about, even the "bad guys".This is the story of the Jennings family. They are forced to live a parents worst nightmare, the kidnapping of their child. But they arent going to sit back and be a victim. They fight back to get their daughter. While this is going on, someone else is also helping the Jennings family, even if they dont know it. Hickey, who plays a role in the kidnapping, tells Karen that he has kidnapped her daughter, she wont be harmed. Hes done this before and the child has always walked away. But something about this kidnapping is much different, Hickey isnt really interesting in moeny. What could he be interesetd in? Read this book and find out. Theres a movie out now called "Trapped" thats based on this book. I highly, highly, highly suggest you read this book. I can promise you wont be sorry.

THIS BOOK IS WHY I READ MYSTERY/THRILLERS!
If it were possible to write a book using a stick of high caliber explosive as a pen, Greg Iles would be the one to do it. "24 Hours" is quick-paced, yet loses no amount of character or plot development because of it. With exactly the right number of twists and hooks, the reader is drawn right into the middle of the action and not released until the hostages are!The Jennings are a model family: Will is a much sought-after anesthesiologist, while his wife Karen is a discontent housewife who was forced to put her own promising medical career on hold when she became pregnant. Little Abby is the result, precocious and suffering from severe juvenile diabetes, a plot point that comes up again and again throughout the story. While Will is away at a medical conference, Abby is kidnapped by another type of family that falls somewhere on the opposite end of the scale from the Jennings. The resulting nightmare is brilliantly told thriller that holds ones attention like it was stapled to the page! With a series of double-crosses and unexpected plot twists, the story roars along to an intelligent conclusion. This being my first reading of any of Iles books, I will definitely seek out his others as soon as possible!

Customer Review #3:
Worst Greg Iles book Ive ever read!
This book was horrible from start to finish. I never once believed the characters. Their actions and words did not speak of truth at all. I read the entire book and the entire thing felt like wading through sludge. I normally like Greg Iles (The Quiet Game is one of my all-time favorite books) and it is hard for me to believe this was even written by the same guy. I wouldnt recommend this book to anyone who has a shred of understanding of the human psyche.
