Customer Review #1:
Not so great
I have really enjoyed all the books I have read by Karin Slaughter until I picked up this one. The problem for me was not in the plot but in the delivery. I found several of the characters confusing and acting exremely weird and unpredictable.
lt;br /gt;
lt;br /gt;People are dying at the local college and someone is trying very hard to make it look like a string of suicides. Sara the town pediatrician/coroner and her ex-husband Jeff, who is also the chief of police are out to try to solve these crimes before the body count gets out of control.
lt;br /gt;
lt;br /gt;I couldnt follow the dynamic of the relationships between many of the characters. It was as though Ms. Slaughter knew where she wanted the story to go, she just didnt seem to know how to get it there. The ending would have been a nice twist if the other 300 pages had made more sense. While not a complete waste of time, I certainly think her other efforts are far more worthy of being read than this one. Hopefully this is just a one time glitch because she really is a talented author.

Entertaining, ok...... not great.
This was a fairly good book. The story kept me interested. I enjoyed the forensic portions. I am getting tired of Slaughter reviving her characters and their pasts in every single book. Would be nice to see new characters for a change.

Absolutely Horrible!!!!!!!!! (reveals some plot twists, careful when you read)
I have suffered through 2 previous novels by this author, and honestly found them to at least finish well. Well, this one I could not even get past the first 50 pages. I am a healthcare worker, and as one I demand a certain level of truth to stories that depict healthcare situations. I allow for a level of literary license, but when it extends to essentially making things up, I tend to be unable to follow the story. When Saras sister is stabbed and found "bleeding out" she would be DEAD!!!!!! To survive a trauma like that is to unbelievable for me to continue reading this book, let alone any further books from this author. I am sorry to say that but to "soak" a shirt and sport coat, have intestines coming out of a wound and suffer a chest stab wound and massive scalp laceration and survive is just wrong.
lt;br /gt;
lt;br /gt;Sorry, just my opinion.
